Admissions Process

The first step is to book a tour of our campus or attend an Open House event. Visiting our school allows us to become better acquainted with your family and gives you an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our ELIC curriculum.

Once you have decided that Baton Rouge International School is a great fit for your family, our Admissions office will send you a link to fill out our online application. Required documents such as a copy of the child’s birth certificate can be submitted with this application via upload.

A non-refundable application fee of $100 for PK 2-3 or $250 for PK 4 – Grade 12 is due upon submission of an enrollment application.

Once an online application has been successfully submitted, our Admissions office will contact you to schedule an assessment for your child.

Students entering our High School program are also required to participate in an admissions interview at the time of their assessment.

Upon completion of the student’s assessment, your completed application will be reviewed by our administrative team and an admissions decision will be communicated with you as soon as possible

Admitted students are then given two weeks to pay our $450 non-refundable registration fee to officially accept their offer of admissions. If payment is not received within the two weeks, we cannot guarantee the student’s place at the school.

Your student will be officially enrolled in the Baton Rouge International School once you have received a written notification from BRIS Admissions. The notification will include next steps and a Welcome Packet of additional documents to be completed prior to the child’s first day on campus.

International Baccalaureate® Diploma Programme

  • As and Bs on the most recent transcripts from your child’s current school
