After winning the 2019 FIRST Lego League (FFL) State Championship Innovation Solution Project Award in New Orleans last year, the BRIS Tech Team was given the opportunity to represent the state of Louisiana in the Semi-Final round of The FIRST ® LEGO® League (FFL) Global Innovation Award competition presented by Disney.

The FFL Global Innovation Award showcases the real-world, innovative solutions created by FIRST LEGO League teams worldwide as part of their annually themed challenge.

In May, 20 semi-finalist teams were selected for their inventions, which were evaluated on demonstrated originality, creativity, potential impact, and value. Although BRIS was not chosen to advance to the final round, we were truly honored to have the opportunity to represent our school and the state of Louisiana on a world stage. This was an excellent learning experience for our team, and they look forward to continuing to improve and work on their project. Geaux Falcons!

Congratulations to the 2020 Global Innovation Award Winner, Aldeatron Robotix of the Canary Islands, Spain!
